About

Play With Your Family is what happens when an enthusiastic dad of two boys sets out to have fun with his kids.

You see I grew up before computer games were an actual thing. My three brothers, one sister, and I played table games. We even had our own rec room (although if I’m honest, that wasn’t intentional, we just gradually took over the garage).

You name it, we campaigned for it, until our parents finally caved in and got us one. Favorites were the ping pong table, and our air hockey table (it was a sad day when that one quit, I can tell you). But we also had other great stuff – a second-hand pool table, a foosball table, and a dartboard to name a few.

When my own boys were very little, my wife and I bought them toy versions of these games. They loved them and still do. So as we expand our budding rec room, we’ll share our thoughts and new gear with you.

You see I firmly believe that play (whatever your age) is an underrated activity. It’s a fantastic way to promote cognitive, physical, and social skills. And whether you are young in years or young at heart, it’s also the best antidote to the everyday stresses of life.

So this site is about having fun with the people you love. I hope you find it to be a good resource.
